ABOUT Sad Youth Club
Sad Youth Club is a zine/craft project by Sydney artist, Troijarra Ebio.
Initially created as a solo side project during the completion of her BFA (drawing and painting) at UNSW A&D (2016), Sad Youth Club quickly became a main focus and self publishing platform.
Past body of works, exploring recurrent themes of sex, existentialism and self love & care, were compiled and published under ‘SYC’ late 2015 - early 2016. Setting a base aesthetic and vision for the art platform. Surrealism and linework are major style components within most works.
Sad Youth Club has since been both a pseudonym and a collaborative art/zine project.
As of October 2017, SYC has published 14 visual zines available online and in selected zine distributors on the Australian eastern coast.
Taking on a tattoo apprenticeship 2019, Troijarra is now practising under @SYCtattoo (Instagram).
